Well this is nicer, isn’t it? Cleaner, more user-friendly, and doesn’t make me feel guilty every time I look at it. Although the logo’s looking a bit too Guardian for my liking (Wordle’s favourite font); I’m open to offers for improvement.
Blogging, or worse, ‘self-publishing’ is completely narcissistic, time-consuming, stomach churning and, let’s face it, a pain in the arse. But I can’t not blog, I can’t not create. Even if that means spending days trawling through geeky WordPress forums and inventing bits of HTML that I swore once existed.
It’s a great place for me to showcase my online portfolio and to merge the two ‘brands’ of me (an evil necessity in my profession): The Edible Editor and Natalie R Harris.
In 2012, my focus was going to be pitching to websites and getting unique content live there (most recently Time Out and The Huffington Post). But to let my blog die completely would be a travesty. It’s my baby.
So, be prepared for more blogging in 2013. It’s what I do. And to have turned my back on it for so long: I am ashamed.
Welcome back and good luck. It looks fab here, love your theme. My blog is a huge distraction from similar goals to yours, but I figure at least it keeps me writing!
Exactly, Penny. It’s a creative outlet, if nothing else…
Slick new look I like it! Blogging more I double like it! Are you and I like two peas in a pod? I think so! Love ya xx
